The total volume of import and export freight at the Mangman customs channel in Ruili, Yunnan province, reached 1.19 million tons valued at 8.10 billion yuan ($1.13 billion) over the past year, according to the Wanding entry-exit frontier inspection station.

Since it resumed operations on Nov 26 last year, the Mangman customs channel of Wanding, a China-Myanmar border port, has allowed more than 80,000 entry-exit personnel and 60,000 vehicles.

In recent years, it has become an important channel for Ruili, which borders Myanmar on three sides, and even for the whole country's trade with Myanmar.

The frontier inspection station has strengthened communication with relevant departments of local governments and enterprises, trying its best to promote normal trade between the two countries while strictly abiding by COVID-19 prevention and control measures.
