On December 8th, the training on the interpretation and application of policies related to the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) was held online by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). This is the first national promotion and training event organized by CCPIT after the signing of RCEP. Zhang Shenfeng, Vice Chairman of CCPIT, attended the training and delivered a speech. More than 7,000 people from CCPIT sub-councils and enterprises participated in the event.

In his speech, Zhang Shenfeng stated that the signing of RCEP will play an important role in promoting a new round of high-level opening up, facilitating global economic recovery, and maintaining the multilateral trading system. The CCPIT, together with the trade and investment promotion agencies at all levels across the country, will take the opportunity of the implementation of the RCEP, and give full play to their advantages, so as to provide more precise services and build more cooperation platforms for enterprises to make full use of the RCEP and other free trade agreements.

Experts from the Department of International Trade and Economic Affairs of MOFCOM introduced the overall situation and significance of the RCEP and interpreted in detail the preferential policies of the RCEP in the fields of trade in goods, trade in services and investment.
