On the afternoon of June 22, 2026, during the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), the ASEAN Supply Chain Cooperation Exchange Meeting was successfully held in Beijing. Chinese and foreign guests, including Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Malaythong Kommasith, Minister of Industry and Commerce of Laos, Ceferino Rodolfo, Undersecretary for the Industry Development Group (IDG) of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry, Narit Therdsteerasukdi, Secretary General of the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), Lee Kian Fai, Vice Chairman of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), and Lu Xinning, Vice Governor of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

Ren Hongbin stated that the year 2026 marks the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the China-ASEAN Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, holding special and significant importance for deepening regional cooperation in industrial and supply chains. With the full implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the steady progress in upgrading the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area to version 3.0, economic and trade cooperation between the two sides is moving toward a higher level.

Aiming to promote deeper synergy and cooperation between the business communities of China and ASEAN, Ren put forward three cooperation proposals: First, maximize policy dividends to jointly promote institutional opening-up. Second, elevate the level of cross-border cooperation in industrial and supply chains to jointly build a win-win grand market. Third, seize digital opportunities to jointly create a new blue ocean for cooperation in emerging fields.

The meeting was co-hosted by the CCPIT Representative Offices in Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia, and organized by the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC). As an important business exchange event held concurrently with the 4th CISCE, the meeting was themed “Deepen Cooperation through Opening-up, Accelerate Regional Industrial and Supply Chain Integration across ASEAN.” More than 200 guests, including government officials from ASEAN countries, heads of business associations, and representatives of Chinese and foreign enterprises, attended the event. Featuring keynote speeches, panel discussions, and business matchmaking sessions between Chinese and foreign companies, the participants engaged in in-depth exchanges and pragmatic discussions closely centered around two key topics: “Digital Empowerment for ASEAN Supply Chain Cooperation” and “Green Transformation for ASEAN Industrial Chain Upgrading.” The meeting successfully consolidated cooperation consensus from multiple parties and built an efficient and practical exchange platform for government-enterprise matchmaking and industrial linkage between China and ASEAN.
