On November 26, during the 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Hainan Provincial Committee successfully held the Hainan Free Trade Port Industrial Chain (Beijing) Investment Promotion Conference in Beijing. Chen Jian’an, Vice Chairman of the CCPIT, Li Guoliang, Vice Chairman of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) , and Ahmed Mustafa, Ambassador of the League of Arab States to China, attended the event and delivered speeches.

Chen Jian’an stated that for 6 years, the Hainan Free Trade Port has continuously aligned with high-standard international economic and trade rules, actively created a world-class business environment, and vigorously developed leading industries such as tourism, modern services, high-tech, and high-efficiency agriculture with tropical characteristics. The promotion conference held in conjunction with the CISCE is of great significance.

In his speech, Li Guoliang pointed out that Hainan Free Trade Port fully leverages the large platform of the CISCE, using industry chains as a medium to organize activities such as exhibitions and displays, policy promotion, investment attraction, and business negotiations. These efforts aim to promote in-depth integration of Hainan with national and global industrial and supply chains, achieve cooperation in the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain, and fully facilitate the high-quality development of Hainan Free Trade Port.

Ahmed Mustafa stated that Hainan Free Trade Port, as an important window for China’s opening up, has unique policy advantages and development potential. Hainan Free Trade Port will provide broader space and opportunities for China-Arab trade cooperation, and both sides need to maintain connection and communication.

Experts on Hainan Free Trade Port delivered keynote speeches, and experts from the Office of Deepening Overall Reform Committee of CPC Hainan Provincial Committee (Office of Free Trade Port Working Committee) provided policy interpretations. Boao Lecheng Pilot Zone of International Medical Tourism, Haikou National Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City and other enterprises conducted investment promotion activities. The conference included a business negotiation and signing session, where 6 entities, including Hainan Nanfan Seed Industry Group Co., Ltd., Hainan Zhongwei Industrial Investment Co., Ltd., and Hainan Dehang Cross-border E-commerce Co., Ltd., signed contracts for 3 projects.

Representatives from embassies and consulates in China, trade promotion agencies, and business associations from 10 countries and regions, including the Arab countries and Morocco, as well as nearly 170 representatives from about 70 domestic and foreign enterprises attended the conference. CCPIT Hainan Provincial Committee also organized 5 enterprises to exhibit in the health life chain, green agriculture chain, and supply chain service exhibition areas of the Expo.
