2025-07-25

On July 21, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) convened a work conference for its overseas representative offices in Beijing. The meeting comprehensively reviewed the achievements and experiences of these offices in serving China’s high-standard opening up and the high-quality development of trade promotion. It also conducted an in-depth analysis of the evolving international economic and trade landscape, faithfully grasped the new requirements for supporting the country’s high-standard opening-up, and mapped out priority tasks based on the missions and responsibilities of the overseas offices. Ren Hongbin, Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Leadership Group and Chairman of the CCPIT, attended the conference and delivered remarks. Members of the CCPIT CPC Leadership Group and relevant officials from the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Office (of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission) stationed at the Ministry of Commerce were present.

The conference emphasized that CCPIT’s overseas work is a vital component of the Party and the country’s external work, serving as an important extension of trade promotion endeavors with Chinese characteristics abroad. The overseas representative offices were urged to leverage their frontline advantages, steadily establish a tightly woven enterprise services network, broaden the international circle of friends, and strive for excellence with a strong sense of political responsibility and mission in their work.

Persons in charge from CCPIT departments, affiliated organizations, and overseas representative offices attended the meeting. Representatives from the overseas offices and relevant departments held an exchange of views.
