The Foreign-invested Enterprises Tour in Shanxi was successfully held in Shanxi from August 20th to 22nd. During the event, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), had work exchanges with Tang Dengjie, Secretary of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and met with representatives of foreign-invested institutions and enterprises together with Lu Dongliang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shanxi Provincial Committee and Governor of Shanxi province. Additionally, Ren Hongbin attended the Promotion Event for the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) and conducted research at relevant local enterprises. The CCPIT and The People’s Government of Shanxi Province signed an agreement on deepening strategic cooperation, and organized the Government-Business Dialogue and Investment Promotion. Hu Lijie and Tang Zhiping, leading officials of Shanxi Province, attended related activities.

The event was co-hosted by the CCPIT and the People’s Government of Shanxi Province. It serves as a concrete step to thoroughly implement the guiding principles of the important speeches made by General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered during his inspection in Shanxi, enhance services for foreign-invested enterprises in Shanxi Province, and assist Shanxi in achieving high-quality development and high-level opening-up. Over 60 representatives and senior executives from nearly 40 foreign trade promotion institutions, foreign business associations and foreign-invested enterprises in China, including 14 Fortune Global 500 companies, participated in the event.

At the Government-Business Dialogue and Investment Promotion, relevant departments of Shanxi Province responded on-site to the cooperation intentions and demands from the foreign-invested enterprise representatives. The participants also went to Taiyuan, Jinzhong and other places in Shanxi for research and matchmaking.
