On the morning of June 24, during the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), the Thematic Event on Corporate Green Leadership and Low-Carbon Transition was successfully held in Beijing. Nie Wenhui, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and Ling Wen, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), attended the event and delivered opening remarks, while CAS Academician Ma Ding delivered a keynote report.

Nie Wenhui noted that today, accelerated changes unseen in a century are unfolding globally with unprecedented speed, breadth, and depth, making low-carbon transition a major trend in global economic development. He suggested that enterprises strive to become demonstration pioneers of green transition, technological leaders of green upgrading, and co-builders of the green ecosystem. The CCPIT is willing to continuously strengthen cooperation with the CAS to leverage the CISCE platform. By doing so, both sides can forge a new path of collaboration in assisting enterprises with low-carbon transition, achieving mutual success and win-win cooperation.

Themed "Green Manufacturing Leads and Connects the World: Shaping Corporate Green Leadership with New Quality Productive Forces", the event featured the signing of a Letter of Intent on International Green Trade Cooperation between the CCPIT Commercial and Legal Service Center and Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Bioprocess Technology (QIBEBT), CAS. The two sides jointly released the independently developed GIS-LCA Credible Carbon Data Operating System and the "1+N" Technology Roadmap for China Green Manufacturing and Green Smart Manufacturing, while simultaneously launching the formulation of green smart manufacturing standards for the home appliance industry. Furthermore, plaques for green leadership cultivation were awarded to 11 industrial chain leaders, including BYD, Lenovo, and Xiaomi. The event also marked the launch of the second phase of the China’s Green Manufacturing Ambition Leadership Programme, alongside call-for-entries activities for outstanding green transition cases and green ecosystem partners. Corporate representatives from Lenovo, Airbus, and other firms shared practical, front-line low-carbon transition experiences focusing on digital carbon management and full-process zero-carbon factory renovations, providing scalable practical paths for the entire industry.

Jointly hosted by the CCPIT Commercial and Legal Service Center and the QIBEBT, CAS, the event attracted approximately 120 participants, including representatives from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), relevant local governments, and key enterprises across industrial chains.
