2022-06-21

On May 30th, the CCPIT Work Conference on Serving Foreign Businesses was held in Beijing. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended the conference and delivered a speech. Zhang Shenfeng, Vice Chairman of the CCPIT, presided over the conference. And CCPIT’s vice chairmen, Chen Jian' an, Ke Liangdong and Zhang Shaogang, and Secretary General Yu Jianlong attended the conference.

Ren Hongbin said that the CPC Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to the utilization of foreign capital. It is of great significance to set up task forces in the CCPIT and its local sub-councils to serve foreign businesses. With the advantages of close and extensive ties with foreign businesses, the CCPIT and its sub-councils should unblock channels for such enterprises to air their appeals, help resolve their problems and difficulties in investment and business operations in China, and enhance their confidence in investment and development in China. The CCPIT's sub-councils should improve their work systems and take concrete measures concerning the task forces for greater synergy effects under the guidance and support of the local governments.

Heads of member entities of the CCPIT's task force serving foreign businesses attended the conference in person. Officials from CCPIT's sub-councils in various provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government and cities specifically designated in the state plan (these cities are Dalian, Qingdao, Ningbo, Xiamen and Shenzhen and they are subject to the dual leadership or administration of both the Central Government and the provincial goverments where they are located with the latter as the mainstay), as well as persons in charge of local sub-councils, joined the conference online. Leaders from sub-councils of 10 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government as well as a city specifically designated in the state plan, made speeches respectively.
