On the morning of June 15, the first “Friendship Cup” Sino-foreign Government-enterprise Basketball Invitational kicked off in Beijing. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Yamada Yoshiyuki, Minister of Economic Affairs of the Japanese Embassy in China, and Xu Jicheng, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Lu Pengqi, Deputy Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), Ren Jianghao, Deputy Head of the Dongcheng District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, and around 380 participants of 20 basketball teams from relevant ministries, foreign embassies and foreign chambers of commerce in China and foreign-funded enterprises joined in the opening ceremony, which was presided over by CCPIT Vice Chairman Li Xingqian.
This invitational was hosted by the CCPIT, and co-hosted by the CBA and Dongcheng District People’s Government, aiming to create an interactive exchange plaform among foreign embassies and foreign-funded enterprises in China, and relevant Chinese ministries.
