The press conference on the economic and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN and the 18th China-ASEAN Expo was held on July 29th at the Press Conference Hall of the State Council Information Office P.R.C. Zhang Shaogang, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended the press conference, introduced the preparatory work for the 18th China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (hereinafter referred to as “the Summit”) and took questions from reporters.

Zhang Shaogang said that the Summit will be held from September 10th to 11th in Nanning, Guangxi both online and offline. Apart from the opening ceremony, Round-table Dialogue between State Leader of Laos and CEOs from China, China-ASEAN Business Leaders Forum, Symposium on China-ASEAN Business Law Cooperation and other events will also be held during the Summit. To better build consensus on building a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future, and better engage business communities from ASEAN countries in the summit, the CCPIT will invite national chambers of commerce and industry of 10 ASEAN countries to co-host the summit from this year, further consolidating the summit's philosophy of consulting and hosting the summit together with business communities of ASEAN countries for shared benefits.
