From February 6 to 8, at the invitation of the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEİK), the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) organized a Chinese business delegation to visit Istanbul and Ankara, Türkiye. Seizing the opportunity of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Türkiye, the visit aimed to actively implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state during their meeting in Tianjin and deepen practical cooperation between the business communities.

During the visit, CCPIT Chairman Ren Hongbin led the delegation in extensive exchanges with Turkish government and business leaders. The delegation met with Turkish Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar. They also held discussions with representatives from major business associations, including DEİK, the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD), and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), as well as executives from Turkish companies such as ATA Group. The delegation highlighted China’s approach of using opening-up to drive reform and development, and sharing opportunities and pursuing common development with countries around the world. Ren Hongbin emphasized that the CCPIT stands ready to work hand in hand with its Turkish counterparts to encourage the business communities to tap cooperation potential within the Belt and Road Initiative framework and achieve higher-level mutual benefits and win-win results. He also expressed his welcome for Türkiye’s active participation in the fourth China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE).

Turkish government and business leaders spoke highly of China’s resilience in economic development, noting broad prospects for cooperation in supply chains. They expressed their expectation to continue expanding trade and investment cooperation during China’s 15th Five-Year Plan period, achieving mutual success through two-way efforts.

During the visit, the CCPIT, together with DEİK and TÜSİAD, jointly hosted the third Türkiye-China Business Conference and renewed memoranda of understanding on cooperation with both organizations. Over 300 representatives from various sectors in China and Türkiye engaged in exchanges and negotiations on key areas of cooperation.
