On the morning of July 16, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended and addressed the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the South Africa National Pavilion at the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE). The ceremony was jointly attended by South African Deputy President Paul Mashatile, along with nine ministers including the Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition of South Africa, the Charge d'Affaires of the South African Embassy in China, and representatives from 31 South African exhibitors. Participating enterprises span pharmaceuticals, mineral resources, beauty and personal care, textiles and apparel, and creative industries.
