CCPIT Vice Chairman Yu Jianlong Attends lCC WCF Regional Summit of the Americas

On May 8, Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) attended International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) World Chambers Federation (WCF)  Summit of the Americas in Bogotá, Columbia and addressed the event on China-Latin America economic and trade relations.

Yu Jianlong remarked that China and Latin America have strong economic and trade complementarities. He expressed expectations for both sides’ business communities to deepen their cooperation by working further on traditional areas of strength, expanding emerging-field cooperation, and enhancing bilateral exchanges so that the economic and trade ties between China and Latin America would be further fastened and the building of China-LatAm community with shared future would be accelerated. He also participated in the meeting of ICC WCF Executive Committee.

During his stay in Colombia, Yu Jianlong visited  Zhu Jingyang, China’s Ambassador to Columbia, to introduce China's participation in global economic governance through the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and other organizations, explore the potential of China-Columbia economic and trade cooperation, and recommend important activities of CCPIT such as the 2nd China International Supply Chain Expo, Global Business and Law Conference, and Business Conference on Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development. Additionally, he exchanged views with representatives of the business community, including Denton, Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce; Polanco, Executive President of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce; Chyzhykov, President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Pertaia, President of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
