Since the 18th CPC National Congress, under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with comrade Xi Jinping at its core and the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) has earnestly implemented Xi Jinping Thought on the Economy, Diplomacy and Rule of Law, advanced all-round transformation, overall improvement and high-quality development in China's trade promotion cause, and played a vital role in tightening the bond of interest among Chinese and foreign enterprises, boosting international economic and trade exchanges and promoting the development of China's relations with other countries.

General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered an important video speech at the Conference of the 70th Anniversary of CCPIT and Global Trade and Investment Promotion Summit on May 18th, which is the biggest opportunity and honor for CCPIT's work.

The past decade of the new era has witnessed CCPIT's optimal period for development with the biggest changes and most extensive influence, epitomized China's ever-expanding opening-up endeavor, and seen how enterprises from different countries could share development opportunities and benefit from win-win cooperation.

First, make new achievements in accelerating the building of a new development pattern. The CCPIT will pursue higher-standard opening up under the "dual circulation" pattern, build cooperation platforms for stable industrial and supply chains and sci-tech innovations, and accelerate China's transformation into a trader of quality. It will also promote institutional opening up and better business environment, and organize the business community to participate in the Belt and Road Initiative, so as to safeguard diversified and stable international economic landscape as well as economic and trade relations.

Second, make new contributions to advancing the rule of law in China. The CCPIT will foster an internationalized commercial legal service system, and hold the global business conference on the rule of law, explore the application of Chinese laws overseas and reinforce its leading position in international arbitration profession. It will step up efforts to provide better commercial mediations and quality IP services, improve the capacity of dealing with economic and trade frictions, and support the development of the ICDPASO.

Third, make new efforts to build an open world economy. The CCPIT will well organize people-to-people, economic and public diplomatic events, encourage Chinese enterprises to participate in multilateral business events and actively propose more globally-recognized Chinese solutions that serve China's interests, so as to advance the shape of a more just and equitable international economic governance system.

Fourth, break new ground in leveraging its role as a bridge. The CCPIT will make full use of its unique strength as a people's organization, ensure better services of task forces for foreign-invested enterprises and build high-standard pragmatic think tanks, so as to help various enterprises fully leverage the preferential policies of RCEP, obtain more orders, open up new markets and strengthen rule-based management, and spare no efforts to resolve the pressing difficulties and problems that concern them most.
