The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), which came into force on 1 January 2022, is the largest regional FTA in the world, and China is one of its member states. RCEP will have an important impact on China’s overseas investment and the development of international investment treaties. The newly revised Rules and Regulations of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) came into force on 1 July 2022, which will have a far-reaching influence on the rules and practice of international investment arbitration.

Hence, China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), China International Investment Arbitration Forum (CIIAF) and ICSID will co-host the CIIAF Annual Conference 2022 with the theme of “Focusing on RCEP and ICSID New Rules” on 13 October 2022 starting from 9:00 am (GMT +8, Beijing time) .

This Conference is co-organized by Xiamen University School of Law, Zhong Lun Law Firm, and Beijing Huanzhong & Partners.

This Conference will be a half-day online conference, with live webcast. Simultaneous interpretation between Chinese and English will be provided.
