Liaison Officials’ Meeting for 22nd China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit Held in Guangxi

2025-06-27

On June 24, the Liaison Officials’ Meeting for the 22nd China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit took place in Nanning, Guangxi. Li Qingshuang, Vice Chairperson of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and Liao Pinhu, Vice Chairman of the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, attended and addressed the meeting.

Li Qingshuang noted that at present, the global economic landscape is undergoing profound adjustments, and the emerging technological revolution is unfolding at a faster pace. In this context, the Summit has increasingly demonstrated its institutional value as a platform facilitating high-level dialogues, bolstering economic and trade cooperation, and representing business interests. This year’s Summit will dovetail with new developments such as the Version 3.0 China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA) and focus on emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, green and low-carbon development, and the low-altitude economy. It will also foster synergy with other regional cooperation mechanisms to drive innovation and upgrading of the Summit and deepen and substantiate China-ASEAN economic and trade collaboration.

The meeting reviewed the proposed agenda for the 22nd Summit. Representatives from ASEAN embassies and consulates in China, as well as national chambers of commerce, engaged in in-depth discussions on the Summit’s theme and event arrangements. They also exchanged views on strengthening China-ASEAN cooperation in industrial and supply chains, trade and investment facilitation, and other topics.
