2025 Belt and Road Trade and Investment Forum Successfully Held

The 2025 Belt and Road Trade and Investment Forum was successfully held in Beijing. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Chairman of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), attended and addressed the opening ceremony.

In his speech, Ren stated that the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China made important plans for high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, once again sending a positive signal to the world about open cooperation, mutual benefit, and shared prosperity. He emphasized that the business community serves as a vital force in building the Belt and Road and expressed hope that it will continue to practice win-win cooperation, advocate openness and inclusiveness, and contribute to enhancing connectivity. Ren added that the CCPIT and the CCOIC will further improve economic and trade cooperation mechanisms under the Belt and Road Initiative, help enterprises improve the quality and efficiency of practical cooperation, and make new and greater contributions to high-quality Belt and Road development.

During the Forum, Ren Hongbin also met with heads of chambers of commerce and industry from multiple countries attending the event. They exchanged views on deepening multilateral and bilateral mechanism cooperation, strengthening synergies in industrial and supply chains, and promoting exchanges among the global business community.

Hosted by the CCOIC, this year’s Forum was themed “Shaping a Resilient Future Through Linking Green Supply Chains”. It brought together more than 400 representatives from political, business, and academic circles, including heads of business associations and diplomatic envoys to China from 44 countries.
