On the afternoon of July 16, the Thematic Event on Clean Energy of the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) was successfully held in Beijing. Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Lu Junling, Chief Economist of the National Energy Administration of China, Hu Wujie, Deputy Director-General of the Bureau of Planning and Development at the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), Khaled Hanafy, Secretary General of the Union of Arab Chambers (UAC), and Renat Bekturov, Governor of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), among others, attended and spoke at the event.
Yu Jianlong noted that the Clean Energy Chain exhibition area follows a “generation-grid-load-storage” framework, structured into three sections: power generation, grid systems, and load & energy storage. Showcasing the full-cycle industrial chain of clean energy, from supply to consumption, the event has attracted leading industry players including CNPC, Sinopec, CNOOC, and ExxonMobil. The Thematic Event on Clean Energy serves as a platform to demonstrate cutting-edge technologies and innovative achievements. Yu expressed hope that through in-depth exchanges at this event and subsequent practical cooperation, it would further connect global expertise and resources in the clean energy sector, stimulate collaborative innovation across the entire industrial chain, and jointly strengthen the supply chains for green and low-carbon transition.
Zhang Shaofeng, Director of Dongfang Electric Corporation (DEC), Wan Tao, Vice President of China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group), Wang Jianbo, Vice President of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), Hu Naimin, Deputy General Manager of China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group (CECEP), Li Wei, Chairman of Shandong Energy Group, and Greg Jackson, Founder and CEO of Octopus Energy, delivered keynote speeches. Participants in the discussion session included Chen You'an, President of Changjiang Electric Group Co., Ltd.; Gu Zishan, Vice Chairman of ExxonMobil (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Xu Zhonghua, Vice President of TotalEnergies R&D for Asia, Jiang Hao, Expert on Environment and Climate Issues, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Investment and Technology Promotion Office (ITPO) (Beijing, China), Jia Zhonghua, Director of the China Environmental Protection Industry Development Center, Xie Hongchao, President of Shenglong Electric Group Co., Ltd., Ji Zhijian, Chairman of Dalian Bingshan Group Co., Ltd., and Weng Chaowei, President of Longshine Technology Group Co., Ltd.
During the event, the China Entry-Exit Inspection & Quarantine Association (CIQA), in collaboration with the China Green Carbon Foundation (CGCF) and other organizations, jointly launched the Special Initiative on Eco-Origin Protection and Green Carbon Sequestration. This initiative aims to advance eco-origin product protection, innovate green carbon sequestration mechanisms, optimize clean energy supply chains, and integrate industry, academia, research, and application, thereby contributing China's solutions to the global clean energy supply chain and actively supporting energy transition and supply chain decarbonization efforts in China and beyond.
The China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) hosted the event under the theme “Charting the Green Horizon: Optimizing and Reinventing the Clean Energy Supply Chain”. More than 400 representatives from well-known domestic and international enterprises and institutions attended the event.
