On May 18, Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), met with Christopher White, President of the Canadian Meat Council (CMC), and his delegation in Beijing.

During the meeting, Yu Jianlong noted that China-Canada economic and trade cooperation has always been an important engine for the development of bilateral relations, and China will unswervingly promote high-standard opening up. He expressed his hope that the CMC and its member companies could continue to expand the Chinese market and inject more momentum into the cooperation and exchanges between the business communities on both sides. The CCPIT and the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) will continue to provide better services for the council to develop in China.

Christopher White explained the CMC’s operations in China and said that they highly value the Chinese market and are willing to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the CCPIT and the CCOIC, and share development opportunities with the Chinese business community.
