On May 10, a promotion event for the second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) was held in Budapest, Hungary. Attendees included Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), László Parragh, President of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI), and other representatives from business associations and chambers of commerce.
At the promotion event, Ren said that China and Hungary have their respective strengths in the supply chain, and enhancing supply chain cooperation between enterprises of the two countries helps build a stable partnership for industrial and supply chains with mutual trust. During Chinese President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Hungary, under the witness of the two state leaders, CCPIT and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding on Promoting Supply Chain Cooperation Between Chinese and Hungarian Enterprises. The Hungarian side is welcomed to participate in the upcoming second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) this year as a guest country of honor. This move will bolster supply chain cooperation between Chinese and Hungarian business communities in various fields, including new energy vehicles and clean energy. Through the CISCE, Chinese and Hungarian enterprises can enhance supply chain connectivity in diverse fields and achieve win-win outcomes.
László Parragh stated that the China-Hungary all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership for the new era will surely foster closer bilateral ties in various fields and industries. China’s growing middle-income group leads to more demands for high-quality products and services, which will bring vast development opportunities for innovation and cooperation to Hungarian enterprises. The HCCI would organize the Hungarian side to participate in the second CISCE to further expand the Chinese market.
Gábor Orbán, Chief Executive Officer of Gedeon Richter Plc., noted at the event as the representative of Hungarian enterprises that China is a high-quality market with huge potential. The elevation of the China-Hungary strategic partnership will create greater prospects for business development. Looking forward, the enterprise will continue to explore the Chinese market and contribute to China’s growth. As the representative of Chinese enterprises, Yang Chaojie, Head of the Joint Laboratory of Digital Cultural Trade, shared a successful case of facilitating Hungarian branded products into the Chinese market by adopting a new digital communication model that empowers brand through culture.
Hosted by the CCPIT, the CISCE is the world’s first national exhibition themed on the supply chain. During the first CISCE, the Embassy of Hungary in Beijing showcased a variety of Hungarian brands and displayed the cooperation outcomes and development opportunities between China and Hungary in the supply chain field, focusing on trade and investment, culture and tourism, and technology and innovation.
The second CISCE is scheduled to be held in Beijing from November 26 to 30, with the theme of “Connecting the World for a Shared Future”. There will be six exhibition zones for advanced manufacturing chain, clean energy chain, smart vehicle chain, digital technology chain, healthy life chain, and green agriculture chain, as well as one exhibition zone for supply chain service. Around these exhibition zones, special forums and more supporting activities such as investment promotion, supply and demand matching, as well as new product releases will be organized. To date, the exhibiton and investment promotion work is going smoothly. Enterprises from all countries have strong willingness to participate in the expo.
