On the morning of September 18, Lin Honghong, Vice Chairperson of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended and addressed the China-Philippines Business Leaders Dialogue. Lin Honghong stated that the Philippines is the Country of Honor of this year’s Summit, and expressed the hope that the business communities of both sides would expand new space for economic and trade cooperation by building on traditional cooperation, focusing on emerging fields, and taking industrial and supply chain synergy as a bond. Raymund Jude G. Aguilar, President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), and He Wenhao, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, attended and addressed the Dialogue. Approximately 200 business representatives from the two countries attended.

In the afternoon, Lin Honghong attended and addressed the China-ASEAN Commercial Law Forum. Lin Honghong noted that foreign-related commercial legal services are a traditional business of the CCPIT, and that the CCPIT will continue to promote practical China-ASEAN cooperation on foreign-related rule of law. Huang Hailong, President of the High People’s Court of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and other speakers attended and addressed the Forum. With the theme “New Pathways for Commercial Law Cooperation between Hong Kong SAR and ASEAN,” the Forum was attended by more than 300 representatives from Chinese and foreign judicial institutions, legal service institutions, and enterprises.
