CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shaogang Meets Virtually with Government Delegation of Nicaragua

On December 10th, CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shaogang met online with Government Delegation of Nicaragua. The two sides exchanged views on promoting economic and trade exchanges between China and Nicaragua and strengthening practical cooperation between business communities of the two countries.

Zhang Shaogang said that the resumption of diplomatic relations between China and Nicaragua provides significant opportunities for bilateral cooperation in various fields and will explore larger space for the development of bilateral economic and trade cooperation. CCPIT is ready to work with the Nicaraguan counterparts to build communication platforms for business communities from the two countries, promote practical business cooperation and jointly advance deeper and more tangible economic and trade relations between China and Nicaragua.

Laureano Ortega Murillo, Presidential Advisor for Investments, Trade and International Cooperation, stated that Nicaragua welcomes Chinese enterprises’ businesses and investment. The Delegations is willing to encourage relevant institutions to establish extensive contacts with CCPIT and promote continuous development of Nicaragua-China economic and trade cooperation through platforms such as the China-LAC Business Summit.

Iván Acosta, Minister of Finance and Public Credit and Rafael Ortega, Presidential Advisor for Intentional Relations were in attendance.
