The China-South Korea Business Forum was held in Beijing on January 5, 2026, with the presence of He Lifeng, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, and Lee Jae-myung, President of South Korea.
The Forum was co-hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the CCPIT, presided over the opening ceremony and delivered welcome remarks. Chey Tae-won, Chairman of the KCCI and SK Group, also addressed the opening ceremony.
The event brought together over 400 government and business leaders from China and South Korea, spanning key sectors such as telecommunications, financial services, chemical and energy engineering, bio-manufacturing, and digital technology. At the Forum, entrepreneurs from both countries conducted in-depth dialogues centered on three core themes: manufacturing innovation and supply chain cooperation; emerging consumer markets; and services sector collaboration. After the plenary session, attendees had relevant exchanges and discussions on the site.
