On the morning of October 14, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), met with Umberto de Pretto, Secretary General of the International Road Transport Union (IRU), and his delegation in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on topics including the promotion of the TIR Carnet in China, advancing global road transportation development and trade facilitation, and strengthening cooperation in multilateral trade areas. They also renewed the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the two organizations.
