On April 3, the Promotion Event for the Fourth China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) and the China-Kazakhstan Supply Chain Cooperation Seminar were successfully held in Astana, Kazakhstan. The event was hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Representative Office in Kazakhstan, with support from the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Almaty). Over 120 representatives from Kazakhstan’s political and business sectors attended the event.
Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Han Chunlin stated in his opening remarks that the CISCE, as the world’s first national-level supply chain exhibition, has become a platform for China to practice openness and cooperation, and to promote deep integration of global industries. It serves not only as a window to showcase new products, technologies, and services, but also as an “cooperation accelerator” that facilitates engagement between upstream, midstream and downstream sectors, as well as interaction between Chinese and international enterprises.
Murat Karimsakov, Vice Chairman of the “Atameken” National Chamber of Entrepreneurs and Chairman of the Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, highly commended the close cooperation with the CCPIT in his address. He pointed out that the CISCE helps to transform international cooperation toward integration of industries, technology, economy and trade. The “Atameken” is willing to continue serving as a bridge for business cooperation between the two countries, continuously promoting the deepening of China-Kazakhstan industrial chain and supply chain cooperation, and promoting the exploration of new growth areas for both sides.
Liu Yinghua, Deputy General Manager of ICBC (Almaty), noted that the CISCE is an important bridge for facilitating communication, deepening cooperation, and achieving mutual benefits. ICBC has long provided financial services to enterprises and is committed to making the “invisible” supply chain more stable.
Yanzi, Head of the China Division at Kazakhstan’s CenterCredit Bank, provided insights on participating in the Third CISCE and gave high praise for the organization, exhibition content and layout, and effectiveness of the event.
The CCPIT Representative Office in Kazakhstan conducted a dedicated promotion session for the Fourth CISCE, providing detailed introductions about the Expo’s previous achievements, preparations for the upcoming edition, innovative arrangements, and exemplary case studies of outstanding enterprises from previous sessions. Kazakh political and business representatives were invited to actively participate in the Fourth CISCE.
Following the promotion event, the CCPIT Representative Office in Kazakhstan signed exhibition intent agreements and cooperation memorandums with Kazakhstan’s Export Promotion Agency, Chamber of International Commerce of Kazakhstan, China-Eurasian Business Council, Kazakhstan Chemical Industry Association, and ICBC (Almaty). Subsequently, representatives from China Huadian Overseas, Xi’an Aiju Grain & Oil Industrial Group, Kazakhstan’s Research Institute of Power Industry Development and Energy Conservation, and Kazakhstan National Association of Oilseed Crop Processors engaged in discussion and exchange on China-Kazakhstan production and supply chain cooperation in energy, agriculture, and other fields.
