CCPIT Vice Chairman Chen Jian’an Attends CCOIC-UNICEF MoU Signing Ceremony

On April 24, the signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding between the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) and UNICEF was held in Beijing. Chen Jian’an, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), and Kitty van der Heijden, Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Deputy Executive Director of UNICEF, attended and jointly signed the Memorandum of Understanding.

Chen stated that children are the future of humanity and the hope of sustainable development. Taking the signing of the MoU as a new starting point, the CCOIC will fully leverage its platform advantages to guide the Chinese business community in integrating the protection of children’s rights into sustainable development practices, actively contribute to global children’s public welfare undertakings, and continuously improve the well-being of children worldwide.

Ms. van der Heijden praised China’s long-standing support for and contribution to global children’s causes. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on further deepening practical cooperation and expanding areas for collaboration.
