Foreign-Invested Enterprises Tour in Hainan a Success

The Foreign-Invested Enterprises Tour in Hainan was successfully held in Hainan from March 18 to 20. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended and addressed the second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) Hainan Promotion Event and Signing Ceremony, and the Government-Enterprise Dialogue and Investment Promotion. Moreover, Ren visited Corning (Hainan) Optical Communications Co., Ltd. for research, and together with foreign-funded enterprises, visited industrial parks, such as Haikou National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Sanya Central Business District, and Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City, to conduct field studies and matchmaking.

The Foreign-Invested Enterprises Tour in Hainan, hosted by the CCPIT and the People’s Government of Hainan Province, kicked off the Local Tour series of activities designed for foreign businesses by the CCPIT this year. It was also a concrete step taken by the CCPIT to expand the role of task forces set up for serving foreign-funded enterprises and better serve the building of the Hainan Free Trade Port. Attendees included the American Chamber of Commerce in the People’s Republic of China, the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, the Japan External Trade Organization and other foreign business associations and organizations. Besides, representatives from over 30 foreign enterprises, among which there were fifteen Fortune Global 500 companies, including Qualcomm and General Electric HealthCare China, attended relevant events.

Feng Fei, Secretary of the Hainan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Liu Xiaoming, Governor of Hainan Province, attended the relevant activities.
