On October 16, 2025, a delegation from the World Trade Organization (WTO) Dispute Settlement Theory and Practice Workshop visited the Secretariat of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) for a thematic exchange session. Senior diplomats from the permanent missions to the WTO of 11 countries, and officials from their respective ministries of trade and foreign affairs, as well as representatives from the Department of Legal Affairs and the Academy of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended the event.
Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on how developing members of the WTO can revitalize the organization’s dispute settlement function and safeguard the multilateral trading system, so as to foster a stable and predictable international trade environment for enterprises amid challenges to the multilateral trade regime.
Founded on October 15, 2020, ICDPASO is a non-governmental international organization established under the initiative and support of the CCPIT. It was jointly launched by the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), together with relevant national chambers of commerce, legal service institutions, universities, and think tanks.
