Second “Friendship Cup” Sino-Foreign Government-Enterprise Football Invitational Kicks Off in Beijing

On October 19, the second Sino-foreign Government-Enterprise Football Invitational kicked off at Beijing Tiantan Sports Activity Center. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Marcelo Suárez Salvia, Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to the People’s Republic of China, Yamada Yoshiyuki, Minister of Economic Affairs of the Japanese Embassy in China, and Ren Jianghao, Deputy Head of the Dongcheng District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Yuan Yongqing, Vice President of the Chinese Football Association (CFA), and over 400 participants of 20 football teams from relevant ministries, foreign embassies and foreign chambers of commerce in China and foreign-funded enterprises joined in the opening ceremony, which was presided over by CCPIT Vice Chairman Li Xingqian. 

This invitational was hosted by the CCPIT and co-hosted by the CFA and Dongcheng District People’s Government, aiming to create an interactive exchange platform among foreign embassies, foreign chambers of commerce in China, foreign-funded enterprises in China, and relevant Chinese ministries and enterprises.

This invitational will also feature a Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao division, with multiple teams from the three regions invited to participate.
