Ren Hongbin stated that since its establishment nine years ago, the China-CEEC Business Council has made positive contributions to the friendly economic and trade exchanges between China and Central and Eastern European countries, becoming an important part of China-CEEC cooperation. The year 2023 marks the beginning of the second decade of China-CEEC cooperation. The meeting was of great significance for deepening the practical cooperation between the two sides in industry and commerce. Proceeding from this new starting point, the CCPIT will give full play to its unique advantages of connecting governments and enterprises, domestic and foreign markets, and supply and demand sides to build more high-quality platforms and provide more targeted services for matchmaking and exchanges among enterprises from China and CEECs. The CCPIT will also help enterprises on both sides carry out practical cooperation on a larger scale, in a wider field, and at a deeper level.

With the theme of “Jointly Seek Cooperative Development and Usher in a Brighter Future,” the meeting was co-sponsored by the CCPIT and the People’s Government of Zhejiang Province and included an opening ceremony, discussions regarding certain topics, matchmaking and promotion, and a session concerning the China Council. More than 300 representatives from Chinese and CEEC government agencies, embassies and consulates of Central and Eastern European countries in China, business associations, and enterprises attended the meeting.
