On December 11th, the 18th World Summit of Chinese Entrepreneurs was held in Macao. Gao Yan, Chairperson of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), delivered a video speech at the opening ceremony of the Summit.

Gao Yan noted that in the face of COVID-19 and profound shifts unseen in a century, it has become a broad consensus of the world to jointly respond to the impact of the virus, boost the driving force for world economic growth, and promote common development and prosperity. Chinese entrepreneurs around the world are making their own contributions to the economic recovery and development of the countries or regions they live in, as well as the world as a whole. They have become a major force to drive the economic globalization towards greater openness, inclusiveness, balance and win-win outcomes for all. China is speeding up fostering a new development pattern and promoting opening-up at higher level, which will provide more opportunities for all types of enterprises around the world. CCPIT is willing to work with Chinese entrepreneurs around the world to build the World Summit of Chinese Entrepreneurs into an important platform for reaching broad consensus and gathering talents from everywhere, so as to jointly write a new chapter of the development of Chinese entrepreneurs in the new era.

The summit is organized by World Federation of Chinese Entrepreneurs Organization and co-organized by CCPIT and other agencies. With the theme of “New Economy·New Finance·New Prospect”, this summit aims to establish exchange mechanism and cooperation platform for Chinese entrepreneurs around the world and explore development opportunities in new economic fields. Representatives of major Chinese business associations and enterprises at home and abroad attended the event online or offline.
