The 3rd (2022) World Association President Conference and 13th West Lake Public Relations Forum Successfully Held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang

From December 10th to 11th, the 3rd (2022) World Association President Conference and 13th West Lake Public Relations Forum was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Executive Vice President of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), delivered a video speech at its opening ceremony.

Yu Jianlong said that business associations and chambers of commerce, as a vital component of market economy, play a significant role in implementing national policies, building industrial ecosystem and shouldering social responsibility. The CCPIT and CCOIC, upholding the principle of "consultation and cooperation for shared benefits", stand ready to leverage the strengths of their own systems as well as domestic and foreign channels, and to conduct extensive cooperation with foreign counterparts, so as to make the global governance system fairer and more equitable, and to contribute to world economic recovery.

As a side event of the First Global Digital Trade Expo, the conference was jointly hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, CCOIC, and Hangzhou Municipal People's Government.

With the theme of "Building a Community of Human Destiny in the Context of Digitalization: The Mission and Responsibility of Social Organization", the conference aimed at pooling strength of social organizations to accelerate the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and to inject an impetus into the global economic growth. Foreign dignitaries, foreign ambassadors to China, heads of international organization, chairs of domestic and foreign business associations and chambers of commerce, entrepreneurs, experts and scholars gave keynote speeches at the conference.

The main venue of the conference was set up in Hangzhou, with parallel sessions in nine provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions such as Guangdong, Jiangsu and Xinjiang, and in eight countries including the U.S., the U.K., France and Russia.
