Exhibition Marking 20 Years of China-Turkmenistan Strategic Partnership in the Gas Sector Held in Ashgabat

On April 16, a thematic exhibition held in conjunction with the conference “Turkmenistan–People’s Republic of China: 20 Years of Strategic Partnership in the Gas Sector” was successfully inaugurated in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan. Ding Xuexiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau and Vice Premier of the State Council, toured the exhibition together with Turkmenistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov and Deputy Prime Minister Guvanch Agajanov. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), accompanied the tour.

Organized jointly by the CCPIT and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the exhibition focused on key areas such as oil and gas, transportation, communications, artificial intelligence, education, and traditional Chinese medicine, showcasing the achievements of bilateral economic and trade cooperation in recent years. The business communities of both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on cooperation in energy, connectivity, high-tech, and other fields. The exhibition was attended by over 500 representatives from political and business circles of the two countries.

During his visit, Ren Hongbin met with Mergen Gurdov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, exchanging views on deepening institutional exchanges, enhancing international coordination, and promoting exhibitions.
