The BRICS Economic and Trade Forum was held in Beijing on April 24. Li Qingshuang, Vice Chairperson of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended and addressed the opening ceremony.
Li stated that the business community of the BRICS countries should adhere to dialogue and cooperation and practice genuine multilateralism, deepen the alignment of standards to maintain an open and cooperative international economic and trade order, and uphold an action-oriented approach to ensure that development achievements are shared by all.
The Forum was hosted by the CCPIT, organized by the CCPIT Commercial Sub-Council and the Trade and Investment Working Group of the BRICS Business Council Chinese Chapter, and supported by China General Technology Group and the BRICS Business Council Chinese Chapter. More than 200 people attended the event, including heads of Chinese and foreign standardization bodies and competent institutions, representatives from business associations, enterprises, and research institutes, as well as diplomatic envoys of relevant countries in China.
