Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), led a delegation of Chinese entrepreneurs to visit Austria, during which he met on March 13, local time, with Anna Joubin-Bret, Secretary-General of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), in Vienna.
Ren Hongbin introduced the spirit of “Two Sessions”, stating that the CCPIT will play an active role as the observer of UNCITRAL and continue to support UNCITRAL’s work in all fields. In addition, it will deepen cooperation with UNCITRAL on international commercial arbitration, boost the innovative development of international commercial laws and rules, and join hands to safeguard the multilateral trading system, as part of its effort to ensure the stability and smooth flow of global industrial and supply chains.
Joubin-Bret said that, the CCPIT organizes the Chinese business community to actively participate in the sessions of UNCITRAL Working Groups, contributing Chinese wisdom to promoting the formulation of relevant rules. The two sides stand ready to strengthen cooperation in APEC and other multilateral platforms and jointly enhance trade and investment liberalization and facilitation.
