UK-China Business Forum Successfully Held in Beijing

On the morning of January 30, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the British government co-hosted the UK-China Business Forum in Beijing. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer attended the event and delivered a speech. CCPIT Chairman Ren Hongbin presided over and addressed the forum. Notable attendees included Peter Kyle, British Secretary of State for the Department for Business and Trade, Lucy Rigby, British Economic Secretary to the Treasury, British Ambassador to China Peter Wilson, Chinese Ambassador to the U.K. Zheng Zeguang, Zheng Zhe, Vice Minister of the National Health Commission in China, Huang Huabo, Deputy Director of the National Healthcare Security Administration in China, Yang Sheng, Deputy Commissioner of the National Medical Products Administration, and Chairman of Bank of China Ge Haijiao.

The forum featured an opening ceremony, as well as parallel sessions such as the "Health and Life Sciences Roundtable", a thematic seminar on "Promoting Regional Opportunities", and the "CEO Roundtable". Over 300 key representatives from the political and business communities of China and the U.K., as well as from business associations, enterprises, and media, participated in the event.
