Zhang Shaogang, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), met with Zhong Yongxi, Chief Representative of Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) in Mainland China, in Beijing on April 30th. The two parties exchanged ideas on the “14th Five-Year Plan”, the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and enhanced cooperation between the two institutions.
Zhang Shaogang expressed that the “14th Five-Year Plan” maps out the future direction of the “one country, two systems” practice, and creates historical opportunities for long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong. In the new stage of development, the CCPIT is willing to work with HKTDC to improve cooperative mechanisms, and strengthen cooperation in fields of sharing platforms, project implementation, third-party market joint development, information communication, and policy interpretation, so as to create stronger partnership.
Zhong Yongxi noted that the HKTDC is willing to deepen the cooperation with the CCPIT, leverage their respective advantages, and better serve enterprises in both Chinese mainland and Hong Kong. The HKTDC will actively contribute to the long-term economic prosperity and stability of Hong Kong, and integrate Hong Kong into China’s national development.
