On the afternoon of July 20, Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended  "Pursuing Excellence: 30 Years in Arbitration" Seminar.

Yu Jianlong stated that Arbitration Law of the People's Republic of China adopted in 1994, with its unique institutional advantages and innovative practices, has built a bridge for equal parties to resolve conflicts and settle disputes and provided an efficient and impartial mechanism for resolving domestic and international commercial disputes, contributing significantly to the social harmony and stability, economic prosperity and the establishment of the commercial arbitration system. Looking ahead, the revision of Arbitration Law should serve as an opportunity to explore and refine the arbitration system with a more open perspective, keeping it up-to-date and attractive for more international arbitration to be conducted in China.

The seminar is supported by the China Academy of Arbitration Law (CAAL),  the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and the China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC), which are affiliated with the CCPIT.
