Main Structure of China Pavilion for Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan Successfully Topped Out

2024-08-07

On July 31, the main structure of the China Pavilion for Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan, was successfully topped out. It is the first major self-built pavilion overseas to achieve this milestone, marking a significant phase in the construction of the China Pavilion.

Since the construction of the Pavilion in February 2024, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), in collaboration with various relevant parties, has actively overcome multiple difficulties and challenges in Japan. The construction of the China Pavilion has been vigorously promoted, with strict adherence to quality and safety standards, ensuring the progress of the project.

The main steel structure of the China Pavilion weighs over 1,000 tons and consists of 3,750 components. All components were entirely produced, pre-assembled, and pre-erected domestically before being transported in batches to the Osaka Expo Park for installation. This process showcases China’s manufacturing prowess and “China speed”. The initial appearance of the China Pavilion artistically exhibits the beauty of its “Chinese scroll” design.
