From December 10 to 11, the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Alliance of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor was held in Chongqing. Liu Jiannan, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
Liu Jiannan noted that the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor is an economic corridor connecting Asia and Europe, and linking land and sea. Since its establishment, the Alliance’s work has progressed steadily, with pragmatic cooperation yielding significant results. It has become an important platform for economic and trade cooperation among countries. The Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) outlined a series of measures to advance high-level opening up. As the initiator of the Alliance, the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) is willing to fully leverage the Alliance’s institutional strengths, deepen cooperation with its members, jointly build resilient supply chains, foster new patterns of industrial synergy, and promote shared development.
With the theme of “Building the Corridor for Shared Development and Prosperity”, the annual meeting featured nine major events, including the opening ceremony, a roundtable for chambers of commerce, the Corporate International Compliance Development & Commercial Legal Services Exchange Meeting, and the International Conference on Trade Development and Standards Cooperation. The event brought together over 300 representatives from 21 chambers of commerce across 18 countries and regions, as well as participants from local branches of the CCPIT in relevant provinces and municipalities, relevant municipal departments and districts of Chongqing, and representatives of invited enterprises.
At the opening ceremony, the Alliance’s information sharing platform, “Land-Sea Online”, was officially launched to deepen information sharing and exchange among members. A promotion event and signing ceremony for the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) was also held, with several Chongqing-based companies, including Seres, signing up to participate. Additionally, 20 economic and trade cooperation projects under the Alliance framework were signed, with intended amounts exceeding 7 billion yuan.
The Alliance was jointly established in November 2024 under the leadership of the CCOIC, together with 18 business chambers and associations from 17 countries. It serves as a key institutional platform for business communities of the relevant countries to enhance exchanges and cooperation, promote the coordinated regional economic development, maintain the stability and smooth flow of the global industrial and supply chains, and advance high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. Over one year since its establishment, the Alliance has achieved positive results in supporting foreign trade and market expansion, while continuously enhancing cooperation in information sharing, mutual recognition of standards, and commercial legal services.
