Empowering Enterprises for Global Expansion through Commercial Legal Services: Training and Advisory Session Held in Beijing

2026-07-01

On the morning of June 25, a training and advisory session themed "Empowering Enterprises for Global Expansion through Commercial Legal Services" was successfully held in Beijing during the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE). Nie Wenhui, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), attended the event and delivered a lecture.

Nie Wenhui noted that the world is experiencing accelerated changes unseen in a century, characterized by unprecedented speed, scope, and depth. Against this backdrop, Chinese enterprises are showing an increasing desire to expand abroad, and their scale of global operations continues to grow. This requires them to constantly elevate their awareness, strategic thinking, and global vision. As the world's first national-level exhibition themed on supply chain cooperation, the CISCE now showcases an expanding range of supply chains, focuses more sharply on supply chain synergy, and fosters closer connectivity. It has also become increasingly international, tech-savvy, eco-friendly, and forward-looking, while its functions in trade promotion, investment cooperation, innovation aggregation, and learning exchanges have become more prominent. Hosting this event amplifies the learning and exchange functions of the CISCE and represents a major innovation for this year's Expo.

The event adopted a "1+N+X" model, where intensive training, themed sessions across various Supply Chain Zones, and decentralized on-site services for individual enterprises were carried out concurrently. The lectures were primarily delivered by CCPIT legal professionals, with additional insights from experts of relevant ministries, university professors, professional institutions, and executives from related enterprises.

The training and advisory session covered topics including the international economic and trade landscape, the necessity of enterprise globalization, new drivers of foreign trade, regulations on outbound investment, mediation, arbitration, international taxation, shipping insurance, and the internationalization of standards. Meanwhile, the Supply Chain Zones-themed session focused on global expansion trends, risk prevention, and dispute resolution across sectors such as digital technology, medicine and healthcare, green agriculture, energy engineering, advanced manufacturing, and smart vehicles. Additional content included data trading, intellectual property rights, prevention and settlement of commercial disputes, protection of geographical indications, the integration of law and business, and responses to economic and trade frictions.

Hosted by CCPIT Commercial and Legal Service Center, the event attracted over 150 participants, including CISCE exhibitors, law firms, local and industry-specific trade promotion agencies, and university students.
