17th China-South Asia Business Forum Successfully Held in Kunming, Yunnan Province

On July 23, the 17th China-South Asia Business Forum was successfully held in Kunming, Yunnan province. Yu Jianlong, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Executive Vice Chairman of the China Chamber of International Commerce  (CCOIC), attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Na Yunde, Vice Governor of Yunnan Province, Chandi Raj Dhakal, Acting Chairman of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Khalil ur Rehman Hashmi, Ambassador of Pakistan to China, and other senior representatives from the business communities of South Asian countries were also present.

Yu Jianlong noted that, in response to the increasingly complex landscape of international trade and investment, the CCPIT and the CCOIC stand ready to collaborate with the business communities in South Asia to further unleash the potential of trade and investment cooperation by fostering new regional economic growth drivers, building a favorable regional business environment, and advancing the establishment of a mutually beneficial and win-win supply chain. By doing so, the fruits of cooperation can benefit the people of both sides.

Themed “Enhancing Supply Chain Efficiency for New Development”, the forum was co-hosted by the CCOIC and the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Approximately 400 people from Chinese and foreign government agencies, embassies and consulates in China, chambers & associations  and the business community attended the event.
