China–Belgium Clean Energy Business Exchange & Promotion of the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) Held in Brussels

On April 1 local time, the China–Belgium Clean Energy Business Exchange & Promotion of the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) was held in Brussels. This event was co-hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Representative Office in the EU (Belgium) and the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (BCECC). This event brought together more than 60 representatives from Chinese and Belgian governments,enterprises and industry organizations. Chinese counsellor to Belgium Xie Yajing attended the event.

Bernard Dewit, chairman of the BCECC, stated that the industrial and supply chains of China and Belgium are highly complementary. He added that against the backdrop of energy transition, the potential for clean energy cooperation of the two countries continues to be unleashed. The BCECC would bring together Belgium enterprises to attend the 4th CISCE,leveraging the platform to expand cooperation networks, connect project resources, and promote practical cooperation.

Representatives from Huawei Technologies Belgium NV/SA and the Italian startup HyperWind exchanged views on the application of digital technology in energy transition and technical solutions for improving wind energy efficiency. Representatives from the Port of Antwerp–Bruges shared the experience of expanding international cooperation through the CISCE.

The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Representative Office in Belgium promoted the 4th CISCE. The 4th CISCE will be held in Beijing from June 22 to June 26. The exhibition will feature six key industrial chains—digital technology, advanced manufacturing, green agriculture, healthy living, smart vehicles and clean energy—and include a supply chain service area.
