On May 29, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), met in Beijing with Ronnie C. Chan, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Better Hong Kong Foundation, and his delegation. The two sides held in-depth discussions on strengthening cooperation, encouraging joint efforts between mainland and Hong Kong enterprises to “go global”, and enhancing the participation of Hong Kong’s business community in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
