4th China International Supply Chain Expo Roadshow in Costa Rica Successfully Held

The 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) Roadshow in Costa Rica was recently held in San José. The event was co-hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Representative Office in Costa Rica and the Costa Rican Chamber of Foreign Trade (CRECEX) . With a focus on the medical device sector, a local advantageous industry, the Roadshow attracted more than 50 representatives from relevant enterprises and institutions in China and Costa Rica.

Yu Shanjun, Counselor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Costa Rica, stated that China has always been committed to expanding high-level opening-up and sharing development opportunities with the world. The economic and trade cooperation between China and Costa Rica has yielded fruitful results and holds broad prospects. He sincerely invited the participating enterprises to join the CISCE to experience the Chinese market and connect with global industrial chain resources.

Rodney Salazar Campos, President of the CRECEX, emphasized the close economic and trade ties between China and Costa Rica. Last year, Asia became the fastest-growing region for Costa Rica’s export, with China accounting for a significant share of that growth. He added that China has moved beyond low-end manufacturing to become an ecological highland offering comprehensive solutions for key industries.

The CCPIT Representative Office in Costa Rica promoted the 4th CISCE, highlighting the rich opportunities for practical cooperation between China and Costa Rica in the medical device supply chain, and invited Costa Rican representatives to visit and participate in the 4th Expo.

During the Roadshow, representatives from the participating companies held discussions and exchanges on industrial and supply chain cooperation between China and Costa Rica in the medical device sector.
