The Fifth Work Meeting for the China Pavilion at 2025 World Expo Held in Beijing

On November 12, the fifth work meeting for the China Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan was held in Beijing. Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT); Sun Shuxian, Vice Minister of Natural Resources and Director of the State Oceanic Administration, and Chen Shaowang, Vice Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Li Qingshuang, Vice Chairperson of the CCPIT and Commissioner General of the China Pavilion, presided over the meeting.

The meeting noted that, under the strong leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, and with the strong support of all member units of the preparation mechanism, the China Pavilion at the Osaka Expo has achieved a complete success after more than four years of careful preparation and six months of efficient operation. The China Pavilion was also awarded the gold prize for self-built pavilion exhibition design by the Bureau International des Expositions for the first time, marking a historic breakthrough in China’s participation in world expos held abroad.

The meeting emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, seriously summarize the successful experience of the China Pavilion at the Osaka Expo, and continue to excel in future Expo participation. The China Pavilion should serve as an important window for the world to understand Chinese civilizations and China’s development in the new era, contributing to the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.

The meeting was attended and addressed by representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Natural Resources, Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, General Administration of Sport of China, National Forestry and Grassland Administration, as well as China Academy of Building Research, China Architecture Design & Research Group, and Central Academy of Fine Arts.
