On April 9, the Licensing Executives Society China (LES China) held a symposium in Beijing to mark its 40th anniversary. Li Xingqian, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), a representative from the China National Intellectual Property Administration, Jean-Christophe Troussel, President of the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI), and Wang Ningling, President-Elect of LESI, attended and addressed the event.
Li Xingqian affirmed the achievements of LES China over the past four decades and highlighted four key priorities for the Society going forward: deepening international exchanges and cooperation to enhance China’s global influence in intellectual property; strengthening capacity building to cultivate high-caliber talent; keeping pace with industrial trends to promote efficient IP commercialization; and ensuring the success of the 2028 LESI International Conference in Shenzhen to support Chinese companies in global competition.
The secretariat of LES China is based in the CCPIT Patent and Trademark Law Office. During the symposium, a commemorative book marking the 40th anniversary of LES China was released, and an enlarged council meeting was held. More than 70 participants, including council members, heads of specialized committees, and LES China members, attended the event.
