From October 15 to 16, Ren Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), visited Congjiang County in Guizhou Province to promote paired-up assistance. During the visit, Ren met in Guiyang with Xu Lin, Secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee and Li Bingjun, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee and Governor of Guizhou Province. Executives from both Chinese and foreign enterprises accompanying Ren also attended the meeting.
Ren and his delegation visited Baiping Village in Jiabang Township, Congjiang County to inspect the implementation of paired-up assistance projects. He attended a donation event organized by foreign-invested enterprises for local rural schools, visited and extended greetings to veteran Party members, grassroots officials, and officials serving on temporary assignment, and presided over a symposium marking the tenth anniversary of CCPIT’s paired-up assistance work in Congjiang.
Ten companies and organizations including GE Healthcare (United States) and Novo Nordisk (Denmark) donated funds and materials to Congjiang County in support of initiatives in public health, education, and women and children’s welfare.
