On June 25, during the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), the 17th International Agricultural Trade Policy Conference (IATPC) was held in Beijing. Liu Jiannan, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and Vice Chairman of the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), Tao Huaiying, Chief Veterinary Officer of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Zhu Xinkai, Executive Vice President of Renmin University of China, Dosso Abou, Ambassador of Côte d'Ivoire to China, and Mark Richardson, chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of Canada to China, attended and addressed the Conference.
Liu Jiannan stated that agriculture is the foundation of a nation and a vital stabilizer for global economic and social stability. China remains committed to pursuing mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, and will continue working to build more stable and resilient global agricultural industrial and supply chains. The CCPIT will fully leverage its role in bridging governments and enterprises, connecting domestic and international markets, and facilitating the alignment of supply with demand. In doing so, it aims to support deeper cooperation among agricultural enterprises worldwide and contribute to the development of an open global economy.
The Conference featured thematic dialogues and roundtable discussions, during which participants explored key topics, including "Building Resilient Supply Chains for Bulk Agricultural Products", "Promoting Innovative Development in Agricultural Trade", and "Global Trade Observations by International Grain Traders". Representatives from government agencies, agricultural industry associations, research institutions, and enterprises, gathered to contribute their insights on global agricultural trade governance and supply chain resilience.
Jointly hosted by the CCPIT Specialized Sub-Council of Agriculture and the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the event also marked the official release of the 2026 China Agricultural Products Trade Development Report.
