On the afternoon of July 16, the Western China (Chongqing) Science City / Chongqing High-Tech Key Industry Promotion Conference was successfully held in Beijing as part of the 3rd China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE). The event was attended by Nie Wenhui, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Ding Shiyong, Vice Chairman of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and Gao Anming, Editor-in-Chief of the China International Communications Group (CICG).

Nie Wenhui stated that this Chongqing-focused promotion event centers on key industrial chains in the high-tech zone, namely integrated circuits, intelligent connected new energy vehicles, and biopharmaceuticals. It aims to serve as a high-efficiency platform that integrates supply-demand matching, project cooperation, and resource integration. He encouraged participants to actively engage in exchanges, reach broader consensus, and find suitable partners. The event exemplifies the distinctive role of CISCE in connecting upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, facilitating collaboration among enterprises of all sizes, promoting synergy across industry, academia, research, and application, and deepening interaction between Chinese and international businesses.

Ding Shiyong stated that Chongqing High-tech Zone is among the country’s first national-level high-tech industrial development zones. Positioned at the crossroads of multiple major national strategies—including the large-scale development of the country’s western regions in the new era, high-quality development along the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle—the Zone warmly invites enterprises to invest in Chongqing.

At the promotion event, the CCPIT Trade Promotion and Exchange Center and Xufang International Media, a subsidiary of CICG, jointly launched the “Chinese Quality Products” initiative. The Trade Promotion and Exchange Center also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Administrative Committee of Chongqing High-tech Zone of Western China Science City and the Chongqing Sub-Council of CCPIT to pilot the implementation of the Initiative. The “Chinese Quality Products” Initiative leverages the core strengths of CCPIT and CICG in trade promotion and international communication. By integrating trade services with cultural outreach, the initiative aims to support the transformation of Chinese quality products from mere exports to cultural exports, fostering the development of a globally competitive portfolio of Chinese brands. At the event, Chongqing High-tech Zone delivered dedicated presentations on its key industries, including integrated circuits, intelligent connected new energy vehicles, and biopharmaceuticals.

Liu Linna, Vice Chair of the Global Investment Council, spoke on behalf of business associations. She offered suggestions on how the Chongqing High-tech Zone of Western China Science City could further optimize its business environment and innovate investment promotion strategies to attract more global enterprises and capital.

During the corporate remarks session, Li Yadan, Vice President of Government Affairs at Avanci, stated that China—powered by its vibrant tech industry, vast talent pool, and key consumer market—has become a major global hub and active player in innovation across the telecommunications and automotive sectors. She expressed the company’s strong interest in further expanding its presence and sustaining growth in the Chinese market.

The promotion event was hosted by the Administrative Committee of Chongqing High-tech Zone of Western China Science City, and co-organized by the Reform and Development Bureau of Chongqing High-tech Zone of Western China Science City, the Trade Promotion and Exchange Center of CCPIT, and the Chongqing Sub-Council of CCPIT.
